Silk Saris
embroidered in Kashmir are famous for two reasons; first the perfection of
the hand-embroidery work and second the traditional patterns of embroidery
employed on such Saris. We have
showcased here some fine pieces of art in the very best quality of workmanship.
Kashmiri
Embroidered Silk Saris are worn as Party wear or Wedding Saris. Depending on the
amount of embroidery, Kashmiri Silk Saris usually retail between $150 (for a
loosely allover embroidered) and $900 (for a Jamawar embroidered).
Pictures shown here are of the 'Pallu' (End/ Hanging Part of the Sari). Rest of
the Sari is embroidered along the borders only. |
