Due to the nature of crewel work, there are inherent issues that are unavoidable and do not carry the same guarantee as machine embroidered fabrics.
Handcrafted in Kashmir using age old embroidery techniques, crewel work is indigenous to this region only.
Each piece of fabric is unique, as different groups of workers are employed for each piece.
Every care is taken to maintain a consistent yarn color & embroidery pattern, however it is not practically possible to maintain perfect matches. There may also be missing yarns / slight staining. This is deemed normal.

Crewel
I was unsure as to whether I liked the background colour - too yellow. But now they’ve been made up, I absolutely love the fabric. It rather a long time to be delivered, but worth the wait!

Helpful with custom colors!
I never thought I’d be able to afford crewel fabric in colors I chose. The process of getting samples and adjusting designs was friendly and speedy, and the quality of the final product is great.

Gorgeous fabric!
So easy to order - we own an 18rh century home and the fabric was perfect for the task, some curtains in a former laundry building. Traditional crewel, so well done. Great transaction! Lovely work!

Color coordination
I am ordering custom colors in a pattern of the crewel fabric, and Best of Kashmir has been very cooperative and helpful, and unbelievably prompt, in this process.

Good value for money...
