Due to the nature of crewel work, there are inherent issues that are unavoidable and do not carry the same guarantee as machine embroidered fabrics.
Handcrafted in Kashmir using age old embroidery techniques, crewel work is indigenous to this region only.
Each piece of fabric is unique, as different groups of workers are employed for each piece.
Every care is taken to maintain a consistent yarn color & embroidery pattern, however it is not practically possible to maintain perfect matches. There may also be missing yarns / slight staining. This is deemed normal.

Stunning Fabric
I loved this fabric so much I used it twice! So easy to deal with Shah - always answers emails promptly and fabric arrives so quickly after being shipped. These curtains are in my living room and I adore them. In our cold climate they are perfect. They are hand embroidered works of art!

Disappointed
The fabric is beautifully embroidered but unfortunately the colour is much duller than it looks in the photo and I didn't get a complete 'eagle'.

Superb quality curtains in stunning traditional patterns
The curtains arrived beautifully packed and completely finished ready to add hooks and hang. They are exactly what we were looking for for our 1820s Australian Colonial house and lovelier than we could have hoped for. Feedback and customer relations were excellent, very fast and helpful. The most incredibly beautiful piece of art work
The fabric is even more beautiful than in the photos - all the colours so beautifully matched. Just STUNNING. It really is an artwork and I thank the crafts people who have created this. This is the second lot of fabric that I have bought from Best of Kashmir and I could not be happier with the product, service and contact.
