Due to the nature of crewel work, there are inherent issues that are unavoidable and do not carry the same guarantee as machine embroidered fabrics.
Handcrafted in Kashmir using age old embroidery techniques, crewel work is indigenous to this region only.
Each piece of fabric is unique, as different groups of workers are employed for each piece.
Every care is taken to maintain a consistent yarn color & embroidery pattern, however it is not practically possible to maintain perfect matches. There may also be missing yarns / slight staining. This is deemed normal.

I love the fabric but the colour of the flowers on your site are much redder than the flowers on the sample. On the sample They are lilac/pink ?
Beaufiful fabric, arrived in good condition, the small sample made it difficult to judge/ compare the colors !

Poor quality
The color doesnx2019,t match the picture, the fabric is thicker than I expected it to be and it smells really bad

Not as pictured
The colors in the sample were very differnt from the photo so I cannot use this item. I need the ivory background shown in the photo.

Custom made embroidered linen fabric
This fabric, which I bought to make curtains, is really beautiful. The sample they had initially sent was quite small but just about enough to give one an idea of what the pattern and texture would be. The colours are perfect and the weight and texture of the undyed linen are just what I was looking for and will be perfect for my colour scheme. I plan to line the curtains with fairly thick lining as I am wondering about possible issues with light fastness as I am guessing the wools are natural dyes. But this is a risk I'm happy to take for such lovely soft colours. As with the other item I ordered, I had to pay unexpected import duty, and would have liked to know beforehand that this would be added, but that is no reflection on the product itself which is just what I wanted.
