Due to the nature of crewel work, there are inherent issues that are unavoidable and do not carry the same guarantee as machine embroidered fabrics.
Handcrafted in Kashmir using age old embroidery techniques, crewel work is indigenous to this region only.
Each piece of fabric is unique, as different groups of workers are employed for each piece.
Every care is taken to maintain a consistent yarn color & embroidery pattern, however it is not practically possible to maintain perfect matches. There may also be missing yarns / slight staining. This is deemed normal.

I have just received my crewel work fabric from Best of Kashmir…and it is really lovely! Very helpful and efficient company and very high quality fabric. A great experience!

Beautiful curtains

This was possibly the 6 th set of curtains I’ve had from this company. I do obviously love their curtains! This is the first time I’ve had the white on white/ cream, as they were what is needed for this particular room. As always I am not disappointed, they are up and in use and I’m very happy with them. ….The shipping is a different story! The first few times, going back several years they arrived with no trouble now Fed Ex….well they do seem to have problems. The previous set were sent back to India without me even being aware they had reached this country. This time I had less then24 hours to respond to an email and pay customs ( first time I’ve had to pay duty) , it was fortunate that I had checked my emails that day,I don’t always . This problem has been acknowledged by Bof K. Then while I was told which day they would be arriving I was given no hint as to whether morning or afternoon. Of course I was out and had to drive for45 mins to the depot to collect them. Delivery aside the curtains are lovely and I have inspired other people to buy them also.
